Sip and Style

October 24, 2015 by Asia

Hi guys! It’s me again. I seriously don’t understand how it’s the end of October. I’ve been so busy with big life changes this fall that I guess time has become irrelevant to some extent. I meant to post this much sooner, but que (che) sera, sera.

My new home.

My new home.

One of the super fun things I got to do several weeks ago was attend the Bzees x Athleta Sip & Style event at UTC! I had so much fun meeting local bloggers, trying on shoes, drinking wine, and shopping. (Ok I ALWAYS love shopping.)

I love a good mood board.

California Fruit Wine. Because wine doesn’t have to come from grapes anymore. Find them at Whole Foods!

I was introduced to Bzees and saw their new line for Fall, featuring go-to flats, slip-ons, and boots that are both comfortable and stylish. The designer let us in on a little secret. Bzees were designed with curves because women have curves. Where have these been all my life?!

I don’t know if you remember, but I had troubling foot pain in the past when training for Ironman and marathons (and lived in an ice bucket), so I am obsessed with the quality of my shoes. I pretty much live in flats so I was so excited to add a new brand to my mix that will actually SUPPORT my feet.

Which pair!?

Decisions, decisions.

I had a hard time deciding which style to take home with me. (We all got a free pair!) I was leaning towards the ballet inspired Sashay Slip-On and also tried the Flawless Slip On, but once I told them I was going to Nicaragua (yes! more to come on that!), they helped me pick the perfect ones for my trip. The Women’s Lifetime Sneaker hugs my feet, provides arch support, is great for travel, will hold up on long walks, and is MACHINE WASHABLE. Done and done. I recommend sizing down if you’re in between sizes.

curves ahead

I’m already wearing them around town in Little Italy and recently took them to the farmer’s market.

I resisted going on a major shopping Athleta spree but did purchase 2 pair of yoga pants because yoga has become my favorite past-time. The Chaturanga Tight and High Rise Chaturanga Tight are ridiculously comfortable and hug my curves in all the right places. Plus, part of the proceeds went to charity, so how could I NOT partake? The Autism Tree Project Foundation assists with education, advocacy, early intervention and mentorship to support children and families touched by autism. Bzees is also contributing by donating $5 from every pair of shoes sold using code OLIVER so keep that in mind if you too want to go on a shopping spree. 😉

It was a great evening filled with local vendors and fashion and fitness bloggers & I’m so fortunate I got to partake!
